When one side is in a real hurry, price covers a whole stretch in a single half hour and does not come back that day. On a TPO profile that leaves a trail of single letters. You are going to build one and learn what it tells you.

A TPO profile, or market profile, counts time instead of volume. TPO stands for time price opportunity. Every half hour gets a letter: A for the first half hour, B for the second, and so on.
For each half hour, you stamp its letter on every price it traded. Prices the market visited again and again collect a whole row of letters. A price visited in only one half hour gets a single letter. When a whole stretch of prices has only one letter each, that stretch is called single prints.
Single prints inside the profile come from a fast, one sided move: one side was in such a hurry that price crossed those prices in one half hour and did not come back for the rest of the session. Two or more single prints right at the very top or bottom of the day are a tail, which is excess, and that has its own lesson.
One session, thirteen half hours. Add them one at a time and watch the letters stack. Watch one half hour cover a whole stretch on its own. Those rows show up as single prints as soon as the next half hours build beyond them, and they stay single prints only if price does not come back for the rest of the session. Gold rows are single prints. The faintly shaded rows at the very top or bottom are tail rows.
A volume profile shows how much traded at each price. A TPO profile shows how often the market was at each price. They usually agree, but not always. A fast move can trade real volume and still only leave one letter per price, because it spent almost no time there.
That is exactly why single prints are useful. They highlight urgency: prices the market passed through without stopping, which can look less obvious on a volume profile.
The next session comes back toward yesterday's single prints. Two ways it can go. Flip between them and read what each one says.
Four TPO profiles. Tap any row of the single prints inside each one. Careful: single letters at the very top or bottom of the day are not what you are looking for. Two or more there are a tail, which is excess.
Single prints from a fast move are one of the first things I mark on a TPO chart. They show me a stretch of prices where one side was in a hurry and the other side did not show up.
When price comes back to them, I watch the edge of the singles closest to price. If the same side that made the move defends it, the singles act as a floor or a ceiling I can lean on. If price trades straight back through and fills them, the urgency that made them is gone, and I stop treating that area as special.
On a TPO profile, what does each letter stand for?
What are single prints inside the profile?
A stretch of two or more single letters at the very top of the day, above everything else. What is that usually called?
The next day, price trades back through yesterday's single prints and fills them. What does that tell you?
Spotting urgency is one skill. Knowing what to do with it at your levels is where the Mentorship starts.
The Mentorship
Knowing it is one thing. Trading it live is where most traders fall apart: they hesitate, enter late, get stopped out, and watch the move go without them.
The free lessons show you what the market is doing. The Mentorship teaches you how to trade it.
You can keep piecing it together from free videos for months, jumping between strategies. Or you can learn it properly, in order, with me in your corner.
