A profile is rarely one smooth lump. It is made of thick areas where the market settled and thin gaps it rushed across. Those gaps and those lumps tell you how price is likely to behave when it gets back there.

Look closely at any volume profile and you see bumps and dips. Those have names.
A high volume node, an HVN, is a thick area: the market spent time there and did a lot of business. It accepted those prices. Traders call an accepted area like this value. When price comes back, it tends to slow down and rotate: move up and down inside the area, with buyers and sellers both active (two sided trade). Both sides already agreed there.
A low volume node, an LVN, is a thin area: price moved through fast and did little business. The market rejected those prices, or never stopped long enough to decide. When price comes back, it tends to either get pushed away at the edge or rush through to the next thick area.
The plateaus are the HVNs, wide and easy to stand on. The bridge is the LVN, thin and quick to cross. Hardly anyone stops in the middle of the bridge.
A day that balanced (went sideways) three times at three different prices. The longest row is the point of control, the POC: the price where the most volume traded. Move the slider to change how picky the node finder is, and tap any row of the profile to see what it is. A node is judged against the rows around it, not against the POC, so the edge of a smaller lump can still be part of an HVN.
A simple model: price wanders, but it moves fast where volume is thin and slowly where volume is thick. Teal rows are HVNs, coral rows are LVNs. Drag the start price anywhere on the profile and watch where it spends its time.
A thin area is thin because nobody wanted to do much business there. When price comes back, the same is often still true: few traders want to do business or hold a position at those prices, so there is little to slow it down. So price tends to move through quickly until it reaches prices where business was done before.
That is also why the edge of an LVN can matter. If the market still does not want those prices, it gets pushed back at the edge instead of crossing. If aggressive traders defend the edge, price gets pushed back; if nobody defends it, price rushes through. Either way, you rarely see price sit calmly in the middle of an LVN.
Four days, each with two thick areas. Tap the thin area that separates them.
I mark the clearest LVNs from the prior sessions, the thin gaps between two areas of value. When price gets into one, I do not expect it to hang around. It usually either gets pushed away at the edge or moves through to the next thick area, and the footprint at the edge, the chart that shows the buying and selling at each price, helps me judge which.
HVNs are where I expect rotation. That is where I am more patient and less interested in chasing a move.
What is a high volume node?
Price enters a low volume node. What do you usually expect?
Where do you usually find an LVN?
Price comes back into an HVN. What is the most common behaviour?
Nodes tell you where price is likely to be fast or slow. Building a plan around that is exactly where the Mentorship starts.
The Mentorship
Knowing it is one thing. Trading it live is where most traders fall apart: they hesitate, enter late, get stopped out, and watch the move go without them.
The free lessons show you what the market is doing. The Mentorship teaches you how to trade it.
You can keep piecing it together from free videos for months, jumping between strategies. Or you can learn it properly, in order, with me in your corner.
